FOR ATTENTION: N3SP ADSL Services – Potential Service Degradation
As part of our commitment to continued service improvement, N3SP undertakes service upgrades from time to time. The implementation of these upgrades is scheduled to minimise the impact on end users as far as possible. The next update will take place on 13th February, 2012 between 21:00 and 01:00.
As a pre-cursor to the GP NGA rollout, N3SP are required to upgrade the N3 ADSL core network. This will require the implementation of controlled changes, which may impact service.
N3SP will be performing Disaster Recovery Capability testing on the ADSL Core Infrastructure. This activity is being carried out in accordance with the agreed contractual formal change control procedures under RFC NHS N3 008763 & 8836 which have been reviewed and formally approved at the CfH National CAB.
Users will fail over to their ISDN backup service during the test and are therefore not expected to suffer adverse impact. However, users should be aware that their service could potentially be operating without the normal resilience for a short period during the test exercise.
